Donna Michalka was born and raised in Riverside and received her Bachelor’ Degree in Business Management from the University of Redlands, and a graduate of the Leadership Riverside program. Currently, she is the Community Relations Manager at Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center. Donna has served multiple leadership roles including, Vice President of Marketing at Altura Credit Union, Program Manager for the Inland Empire Palliative Care Coalition, Director of Operations at the Riverside Orange Blossom Festival, Chair of RPLF’s Marketing Committee, and President of Community Connect.

As a committed community leader, Donna has also served as President of Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful, President of the Riverside Public Library Foundation, and President of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce Magnolia Center Council. In addition, Donna has been on the board of several nonprofits: the Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation (REEF), the Riverside Sport Hall of Fame, Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center, and the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce Arlington Council. Donna also served as a committee member in the Law Enforcement Appreciation Gala, The Pink Ribbon Place events, and the Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery Fundraising.

Donna’s focus on giving back includes preserving historic Riverside and all its beauty, Riverside libraries, education and children, seniors, veterans, and Breast Cancer support. Through her hard work and dedication, Donna received the Woman of Achievement Award from the YWCA, Lady Bird Johnson Award from KRCB, and the Good Morning Riverside Award from GRCC.

From the large list of community projects that Donna has been involved in, her favorite ones include: KRCB cleanups, tree plantings, graffiti removal, and judging for City Beautification awards, being a Medal of Honor Convention Ambassador, 4th of July Founders Day Fireworks at the Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery, Scholarship Selection from the Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation, Senior Exhibition Judging at JW North High School, spokesman for Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery, Little Miss Firecracker co-chair for Evergreen 4th of July, Be A Santa to a Senior Annual Gift Giving, and Blanket Making for Cancer Patients with You Are Alone (YANA).
