Paul Herrera has served as the Government Affairs Director for several large REALTOR(R) Associations since November 2010. The current group includes the Inland Valleys Association of REALTORS(R), The Inland Gateway Association of REALTORS(R), and the California Desert Association of REALTORS(R). Together, these three groups boast more than 10,000 members, including real estate professionals and representatives of affiliated businesses and industries. As an advocate for REALTORS(R) and their clients on local issues, Mr. Herrera helps members make a difference for their clients at the local, state, and federal level by helping to preserve and protect property rights and the value of homeownership. He is also the founder of Paul Herrera Strategic Consulting, which he started in August 2014.

Mr. Herrera attended California State Polytechnic University and received his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 2000. Before working with IVAOR, Paul led an entrepreneurial marketing team to tackle a broad array of marketing and public relations initiatives for the Economic Development Agency of San Bernardino County. In four years with the agency, he oversaw external communications, managed a communications team, and helped publicly position a variety of projects and initiatives.

Furthermore, Mr. Herrera also holds an award-winning journalism career that focused on real estate, small business, aviation, and the confluence of government policy, politics, and business. He worked as a business writer/ editor at The Press-Enterprise and Naples Daily News, covering an array of industries and business issues. His coverage of real estate and growth in Florida earned him top honors from the Florida Press Club in 2002, and in 2004, he won first place for in-depth business writing from the California Newspaper Publishers Association.
