Roger Leubs is currently a Judge of the Riverside Superior Court, a position he has held since 2002. Judge Leubs practiced civil law for 18 years, primarily in the field of real estate. He became a prosecutor with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office in 1995. He has had both civil and criminal court assignments and currently presides over juvenile delinquency matters.

Judge Leubs was born and raised in Riverside, and graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Science in 1974. He then went on to graduate from the UCLA School of Law and began private practice in Riverside.

In addition to his professional career, Judge Leubs has served on the Boards of the Monday Morning Group, the Community Health Corporation, and the UCR Foundation. He was elected to the Riverside Unified School District Board of Trustees, the Governor’s Appointee to the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board, and Chairman of the Riverside Public Utilities Board as well as Chairman of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce.

To help facilitate greater connections between UCR and the community, Judge Leubs initiated and helped organize the City University Task Force which connected in an intentional way business leaders from the Chambers of Commerce, city officials and leaders of the campus to meet regularly to discuss items of mutual interest and to plan. Judge Leubs was recognized by the Raincross Group as one of the “25 Most Outstanding Leaders of the Last 25 Years” in 2013 and by the UCR Alumni Association as “Outstanding Young Graduate” (1987).
