Timothy Maloney is currently the President of the firm Community Works Design Group. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS), and the Southern California Turfgrass Council. Mr. Maloney graduated with honors from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture.

Prior to his entry into the private sector of the profession, Mr. Maloney was Assistant Landscape Architect for the City of San Luis Obispo. His varied responsibilities with the city included park design, street scene design, and consultation for the Architectural Review Board and city/consultant liaison.

The emphasis of CWDG is in the area of park and recreation planning, stressing heavy community and staff involvement in the design process.  The firm has a strong commitment to designing creative park facilities, which meet and exceed the needs of all members of the community. The firm’s philosophy, “We will exceed your needs”, is accomplished by Mr. Maloney’s hands-on approach to each project.  As President of the firm, Mr. Maloney maintains a strong role in the overall coordination of each project.  He stresses physical and economical feasibility of the total project, through careful supervision and production coordination from initial design phases through construction implementation.

In addition to his professional work, Mr. Maloney has been involved in the Kiwanis Club of Riverside as President, the YMCA Board, and the Riverside BIA. He has also been elected as Chairman of the City of Riverside Planning Commission. His major interests in giving back are underserved youth and community art— he has served as the President of both the Riverside Philharmonic and the Riverside Art Museum.

Throughout his involvement int he community, his favorite projects include the Grove Community Church's Fall Festival, Christmas Encounter, Landscape Reduction, and Skatepark Design.
